Angela Loughran

I needed to gain voluntary work experience to complete my level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care. I phoned Kilwee Care Home & they were happy to let me join their team. Two months into my voluntary work I was offered a part time Care Assistant job. I jumped at the offer as I was really enjoying my time in Kilwee. I was able to attend extra training courses through Kilwee which benefited me towards my college studies. I never intended to stay but by the time it came to graduation I had fell in love with my job & knew it was the right place for me.

I started working in Kilwee in November 2012 as a Care Assistant. I was very nervous and apprehensive as I had never worked in the care sector before, however looking back I had no need to worry. These past 6 years has been amazing! I have learnt so much and gained so much knowledge that will stay with me forever. Through training and encouragement from management I have now become one of the Senior Care Assistants. I absolutely love my job and can’t imagine working anywhere else. Kilwee is truly part of my family.

Sharlyn Pontino

Working in Kilwee is a great pleasure and a privilege. I remember starting here in 2005 as a Senior Care Assistant as my first overseas job while training to be a nurse. And with all the support from the company, I gained my qualification to be a registered nurse and even had the chance to be a Deputy Manager of the home. I will always be grateful to the company who believed in me and gave me this opportunity to grow. Here's to continuing my career at this exceptional company.
